1. Introduction
This Cookie Notice explains how Sales Day Software Ltd uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies on:
- sales.day;
- app.sales.day; and
- related Sales Day websites and application pages.
It should be read together with the Sales Day Privacy Notice.

3. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a device by a website.
Browser storage technologies, such as local storage and session storage, allow a website or web application to store limited information in the browser.
These technologies may be used to:
- keep a User signed in;
- maintain a secure session;
- remember preferences;
- support navigation;
- preserve application state;
- prevent fraud or misuse;
- complete requested actions; and
- understand whether a service is operating correctly.
Not every browser-storage item is technically a cookie, but this Notice describes them together because they can serve similar purposes.
4. Our current approach
Sales Day currently uses storage technologies primarily for:
- authentication;
- session management;
- Account security;
- essential application operation;
- User preferences;
- Workspace context; and
- functionality expressly requested by the User.
Sales Day uses optional Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, on sales.day and app.sales.day to understand website usage and improve Sales Day. Google Analytics and its cookies are only loaded after you have granted analytics consent through the cookie banner or "Cookie settings". You can allow, reject or withdraw consent at any time through "Cookie settings". Explicit analytics events sent to Google Analytics do not contain names, email addresses or other user-entered personal information. Further information about how Google uses data is available in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
The public Sales Day marketing website at sales.day may use the LinkedIn Insight Tag for advertising measurement after you have granted Marketing consent. The authenticated CRM application at app.sales.day does not use the LinkedIn Insight Tag. See section 5.4 for details. Sales Day does not use behavioural-advertising cookies, marketing profiling cookies or non-essential marketing analytics in the authenticated CRM application.
Third-party providers may use necessary storage on their own pages or within their services, as described below.
5. Categories of storage technologies
5.1 Strictly necessary technologies
These technologies are required for Sales Day to function securely and correctly.
They may support:
- User authentication;
- login sessions;
- secure Account access;
- fraud and misuse prevention;
- routing;
- Workspace selection;
- Subscription and access checks;
- security controls;
- load management;
- protection against unauthorised requests;
- checkout return handling; and
- essential application state.
Without these technologies, Users may be unable to:
- sign in;
- remain signed in;
- access their Workspace;
- use protected features;
- complete a requested action; or
- use the Service securely.
Strictly necessary technologies cannot normally be disabled through a Sales Day preference control because the Service may not operate without them.
5.2 Preference technologies
Preference storage is used to remember choices made by a User.
This may include:
- timezone;
- date format;
- currency preference;
- week-start preference;
- working days;
- working hours;
- active Workspace;
- onboarding state;
- display preferences;
- notification preferences;
- Morning Digest settings;
- previously selected application state; and
- other User-configured options.
Some preferences are stored in the User Account or Sales Day database rather than solely in the browser.
5.3 Analytics technologies
Sales Day uses optional Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, on sales.day and app.sales.day. Google Analytics and its cookies are only loaded after you have granted analytics consent. You can allow, reject or withdraw consent at any time through "Cookie settings". Explicit analytics events do not contain names, email addresses or other user-entered personal information. Further information about how Google uses data is available in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Sales Day also uses optional Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation, on sales.day to understand website usage through session recordings, heatmaps and aggregate behavioural analytics. Clarity and its cookies are only loaded after you have granted analytics consent. You can allow, reject or withdraw consent at any time through "Cookie settings". Further information about how Microsoft uses data is available in Microsoft's privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Google Analytics may be used to understand:
- page usage;
- feature adoption;
- errors;
- performance;
- traffic sources; or
- general Service usage.
Where consent is legally required, these technologies will not be activated before consent is obtained.
The following cookies are relevant to analytics:
- sales_day_cookie_consent_v2 - a necessary first-party preference cookie on the sales.day domain that records your analytics and marketing consent choices. It lasts for 180 days.
- _ga and _ga_* - optional Google Analytics cookies that are created only after you have granted analytics consent. They last for up to two years.
- _clck and _clsk - optional Microsoft Clarity cookies that are created only after you have granted analytics consent, used for session recording and heatmap analysis. _clck lasts for up to one year; _clsk lasts for one day.
5.4 Marketing and advertising technologies
The public Sales Day marketing website at sales.day may use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Corporation, after you have granted Marketing consent. The tag loads only after Marketing consent is granted through the cookie banner or "Cookie settings". You can allow, reject or withdraw Marketing consent at any time through "Cookie settings". LinkedIn enhanced matching is not enabled.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is used for:
- advertising conversion measurement;
- aggregate website audience insights; and
- creation of website audiences for retargeting.
Data that may be collected by LinkedIn through the Insight Tag includes:
- page URL;
- referring URL;
- IP address;
- browser and device information;
- timestamp; and
- interactions associated with the Insight Tag.
LinkedIn may set or access cookies when the Insight Tag is active. Sales Day does not control and cannot directly remove cookies stored by LinkedIn on its own domains; you can manage or delete those through LinkedIn's settings or your browser settings. Sales Day does not intentionally send email addresses, names, CRM records, registration details, customer data or hashed identifiers through the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
The authenticated CRM application at app.sales.day does not contain the LinkedIn Insight Tag and does not use LinkedIn advertising tracking inside authenticated CRM pages.
The following cookies are relevant to marketing consent:
- sales_day_cookie_consent_v2 - records your analytics and marketing consent choices (see section 5.3). It lasts for 180 days.
LinkedIn's cookies are set by LinkedIn and are governed by LinkedIn's own cookie and privacy policies.
6. Browser storage used by the application
Sales Day and its underlying platform may use browser storage for purposes such as:
- maintaining authentication state;
- remembering the current application session;
- preserving the active Workspace;
- retaining return destinations after login;
- storing temporary application state;
- remembering User preferences;
- supporting secure redirects;
- completing Google OAuth flows;
- supporting Stripe checkout returns; and
- preventing repeated or invalid actions.
The exact browser-storage names may be generated or managed by our platform or integration providers and may change as their services are updated.
We do not publish authentication-token values, security identifiers or other information that could compromise Account security.
7. Third-party services
Sales Day uses or connects with third-party providers that may set their own cookies or storage when their services are used.
7.1 Base44
Sales Day uses Base44 for parts of its:
- application platform;
- hosting;
- database;
- authentication;
- backend functions;
- storage;
- routing; and
- infrastructure.
Base44 may use cookies or browser storage necessary to:
- authenticate Users;
- maintain platform sessions;
- secure the application; and
- provide platform functionality.
These technologies are governed by Base44's own privacy and cookie documentation in addition to this Notice.
7.2 Stripe
Stripe processes Sales Day Subscription payments and billing activity.
When a User opens Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies for:
- payment security;
- fraud prevention;
- authentication;
- checkout functionality;
- transaction processing;
- regulatory compliance; and
- remembering checkout state.
Stripe controls the technologies used on its own pages and describes them in its own privacy and cookie information.
7.3 Google
When a User connects Google Calendar or completes Google OAuth, Google may use cookies or storage for:
- authentication;
- Account selection;
- consent;
- security;
- fraud prevention; and
- provision of Google services.
Google controls cookies and storage used on Google's own pages.
7.4 LinkedIn
The public Sales Day marketing website at sales.day may use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Corporation, after you have granted Marketing consent.
Purpose:
- advertising conversion measurement;
- aggregate website audience insights; and
- creation of website audiences for retargeting.
Data that may be collected by LinkedIn through the Insight Tag includes:
- page URL;
- referring URL;
- IP address;
- browser and device information;
- timestamp; and
- interactions associated with the Insight Tag.
LinkedIn may set or access cookies when the Insight Tag is active. The tag loads only after you have granted Marketing consent, and you can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings". LinkedIn enhanced matching is not enabled. Sales Day does not intentionally send email addresses or CRM records through the Insight Tag.
The authenticated CRM application at app.sales.day does not contain the LinkedIn Insight Tag and does not use LinkedIn advertising tracking inside authenticated CRM pages.
LinkedIn's cookies are governed by LinkedIn's own cookie and privacy policies.
7.5 Resend
Sales Day uses Resend to deliver transactional email.
Email delivery does not ordinarily require Resend to place cookies in the Sales Day application.
If an email includes links, the destination site may use its own necessary technologies when opened.
7.6 Other integrations
If Sales Day introduces additional integrations, those providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies when Users access their services.
Their practices will be governed by their own policies.
8. Authentication and security
Authentication technologies may be used to:
- verify identity;
- maintain a signed-in session;
- prevent unauthorised access;
- detect suspicious activity;
- protect against request forgery;
- maintain secure redirects;
- preserve login return paths; and
- enforce access permissions.
Disabling these technologies may:
- sign the User out;
- prevent sign-in;
- interrupt OAuth;
- disrupt Workspace access; or
- make the application unusable.
9. Preferences and application state
Sales Day may store preferences in:
- browser storage;
- the User record;
- the Workspace record; or
- another application database record.
For example, Morning Digest preferences are stored against the User Account rather than relying only on the browser.
Deleting browser storage does not necessarily delete preferences that are stored in the Sales Day database.
Users can change supported preferences through the application Settings.
10. How long storage remains
The duration depends on the purpose.
Storage may be:
10.1 Session-based
Session-based storage may expire when:
- the browser is closed;
- the session ends;
- the User signs out; or
- the platform invalidates the session.
10.2 Persistent
Persistent storage may remain until:
- it reaches its expiry date;
- the User deletes it;
- the browser clears it;
- the relevant preference changes;
- the Account is closed; or
- the platform replaces or invalidates it.
10.3 Database-held preferences
Preferences stored in the Sales Day database may remain while:
- the User Account remains active;
- the preference remains enabled;
- the Workspace remains available; or
- retention is otherwise required.
They are not necessarily removed by clearing browser cookies.
11. Managing cookies and browser storage
Users can manage cookies and site data through their browser settings.
Most browsers allow Users to:
- view stored cookies;
- delete cookies;
- clear site data;
- block all cookies;
- block third-party cookies;
- clear local storage;
- clear session storage; or
- configure site-specific permissions.
The precise steps depend on the browser and device.
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary storage may cause:
- sign-out;
- loss of temporary state;
- loss of remembered preferences;
- failed authentication;
- failed integrations;
- interrupted checkout;
- inability to access protected pages; or
- other application problems.
12. Sales Day preference controls
Where available, Users can manage application preferences through:
Settings
This may include:
- profile preferences;
- timezone;
- date format;
- working days;
- notification settings;
- Morning Digest;
- connected applications; and
- privacy options.
These controls are separate from browser cookie controls.
13. Third-party cookie controls
Sales Day does not directly control the cookies used on third-party pages.
Users should review the relevant provider's settings and documentation for:
- Stripe;
- Google;
- Base44;
- their browser; and
- any other connected service.
Disconnecting an integration from Sales Day may stop future data exchange but may not delete cookies already placed by the third-party provider.
14. Do Not Track and browser signals
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or similar signals.
There is no universally accepted technical standard requiring websites to respond to every such signal.
The public Sales Day website only loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag after you have granted Marketing consent. Because advertising tracking on the public website is consent-based, these signals do not change the advertising behaviour of the website; you can manage your choices through Cookie Settings. The authenticated CRM application at app.sales.day does not use advertising tracking.
If applicable law introduces a mandatory browser-based consent or opt-out signal that applies to Sales Day, we will review and implement it as required.
15. Legal basis and PECR
Where cookies or similar technologies are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the User, they may be used without prior consent under the applicable exemption.
This includes technologies necessary for purposes such as:
- login;
- security;
- authentication;
- Account access;
- requested preferences;
- checkout;
- Workspace functionality; and
- other essential Service features.
Non-essential analytics, marketing or advertising technologies generally require an appropriate consent mechanism before they are used.
Sales Day will review this position whenever new tracking or measurement technology is introduced.
16. Changes to our technology use
Our use of cookies and browser storage may change as Sales Day develops.
For example, we may introduce:
- optional analytics;
- service-performance tools;
- consented product research;
- additional integrations;
- fraud-prevention tools; or
- new preference functionality.
Before introducing material non-essential tracking, we will:
- assess whether consent is required;
- update this Notice;
- identify the provider and purpose;
- implement appropriate controls; and
- avoid loading the technology before consent where required.
17. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice to reflect:
- changes in law;
- regulator guidance;
- new providers;
- platform changes;
- new integrations;
- changes in browser storage;
- new analytics tools; or
- improvements in clarity.
The updated Notice will show the revised effective date and last-updated date.
Where a change is material, we may provide notice through:
- the Sales Day website;
- the application;
- email;
- a consent interface; or
- another reasonable electronic method.
